If you’re a Derry Township rec organization or Hershey High School booster club, it’s time to incorporate as a non-profit if you have’t already done so. Beginning January 1, 2019 the Derry Township School District will be implementing a new ‘use of facilities’ policy that will offer non-profit orgs the lowest fees.
JSF is offering a workshop to Derry Township recreation organizations and Hershey High School booster clubs who have not yet secured non-profit status in the state of PA. Organizations eligible for and possessing non-profit status are better able to secure the liability protections needed to successfully recruit volunteers and to otherwise conduct business prudently, as well as to financially benefit from the cost-savings associated with non-profit status.
The session will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and will be led by attorneys Stephanie Murphy,
Stephanie E. Murphy
McQuaide Blasko and Anthony Potter,
Anthony S. Potter
Offit Kurman, who possess both legal knowledge and practical experience in the establishment and operation of non-profit organizations in PA.
These firms will be providing their services on a pro-bono basis, so the workshop will be offered at no-cost to participants. However, participants must register by completing and submitting the registration form below.
