Who – Boys & Girls ages 8 – 14 (10u would be ages 8-10, 14u would be ages 11-14)

What – Instructional recreation co-ed volleyball, including practice and games.   Former collegiate volleyball players, as well as club and recreational league volleyball coaches and officials, will be on hand to help every child learn the basic skills, tactics, strategies, and rules of volleyball, with having FUN at the center of it ALL.

When –  June 29, July 13, July 20, July 27 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm (no rain dates)

Where – Gelder Park, Grass area near the Pavilion

Why – To provide children already interested in volleyball with an opportunity to further develop their skills, as well as to offer children unfamiliar with the sport an opportunity to sample the sport, learn and play. 

HowThrough a combination of instruction, demonstration, practice and games, all players will be introduced to:

  • passing

  • serving

  • setting

  • hitting

  • spiking

An introduction to the rules and other basics of the game will be covered in both group instructional sessions as well as throughout the various activities.
